Here’s an amazing fact – creating a new sofa produces the same amount of CO2 as burning 10 gallons of diesel! But there’s a much more eco-friendly option than just buying a new sofa when yours starts to look its’ age. Instead, use sofa reupholstery services to restore the look of the sofa and save all that carbon dioxide going into the atmosphere.
Our process for reupholstery starts with an inspection of the piece of furniture – arms, backrest, interiors, sides and cushions. This helps us see if the problems can be fixed or if an entirely new upholstery covering is needed. Sometimes the problem is inside the upholstery such as saggy cushions which can be replaced.
We also look at the structure of the furniture to make sure it is strong enough to warranty reupholstering it. This means the frame and also the springs and webbing that is used to keep the cushions in place and separate from the springs.
Once we are sure that everything is solid enough to make reupholstery a good option, we can chat about the fun stuff. What colour do you want the fabric? What types of material do you like? Do you want to keep the look the same or go for something completely different? Don’t worry, we can give you our expert advice as we go to help you make solid decisions. Then we carry out the work and your ‘new’ sofa is ready to go.
