While dining room chairs don’t tend to have as much work in them as something larger like an arm chair or sofa may have, there is still a skill that is needed to get the work completed to a professional looking standard.

When considering the material for your upholstery project, think about the whole room. If it is a domestic room that does not get a lot of natural light, then a bright or light coloured fabric would work well. Geometric patterns work well, but only on the right kind of chair…Also, don’t pattern clash! Look around the room and tie in the existing fabrics of the room before choosing a fabric for your chairs.
